               FRIDAY  25th October

                      Miss Rosemary Krull

Poem written by Rosemary during the Day

A time to let go

In this time of Autumn, as the Sun bids its farewell,

Why do I resist this season's change? Why do I rebel?

There is nothing to fear in darkness, it simply doesn't exist

Darkness is simply the absence of light, why do I fight it, why do I resist?

Darkness has no power. No strength, no force, no might.

Why do I lie in fear of it on a cold Autumnal night?

There's too much time for me to think as the long cold nights draw in.

Too much time for anxious thoughts as fears and panic set in.

Why do I allow these thoughts to fill my mind with dread?

Taking up such precious space where even angels fear to tread.

Because there's blessing in the darkness, in the stillness of the night,

It's then we see the Christ light shine, ever more so bright.

It's in these dark and silent nights which seem so filled with fear,

That we may hear God's precious voice, "My child, I am here."

"When you feel that pain, that fear, that dread hand them all to me.

Let them go and free your mind, so you become what you're meant to be."

"A child of peace, of calm, of trust, never abandoned nor alone.

I will be with you always. Until it's time to guide you home."
